Zorro – work on the Disney+ series is starting. Game of Thrones screenwriter at the helm

As reported by Deadline, Brian Cogman became the showrunner, writer and executive producer of the series Zorrowhich is made for Disney+. He is known for his work on the series Game of Thrones. He wrote 11 episodes and won four Emmy Awards for that work.

He will play the title role of the hero Wilmer Valderramawell known to fans of the series Pink seventies and NCIS Agents: Los Angeles.

The protagonist is Diego De La Vega, who returns to his hometown as a result of a family tragedy. There he discovers that he is ruled by corruption and injustice. This will lead to him becoming the hero known as Zorro.

The creators promise that it will be a bold vision of a classic story addressed to a modern viewer. It is supposed to be an epic adventure full of humor, intrigue and emotions.
