It hits theaters today Little Mermaid from Disney. Its first reviews clearly suggest that the film will most likely be strongly divided among viewers. Since long battles await us in this matter, as part of an attempt to find compromises and reference points, we want to show you and remind you that it could always be worse. So it’s time for a one-of-a-kind festival of on-screen abomination – here it is worst animated movies.
To find them, this time we used not one, but two rankings. The first one comes from the reliable Ranker portal; it is constantly updated, and so far 9.5 thousand people have participated in the game. Internet users who gave almost 56 thousand. votes, repeatedly opting for or against a given production. The second list was prepared by an IMDb user with the eloquent nickname fancinderella – although it was published in 2017, it in itself becomes an excellent opportunity to review the actors’ rubbish and trash, for which animations were the canvas.
We knew that live-action films based on animations are a really difficult piece of cinematic bread. Some of them turned out to be a great financial and artistic success, others we would certainly prefer to forget. The problem is that we remember the following productions surprisingly often – and not only because we are connoisseurs of screen crap.
