Venom 2: Carnage – could we see more of Spider-Man? The director on the post-credits scene

IN Venom 2: Carnage Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and the titular symbiote learned to live together. However, their world is turned upside down when psychopathic Cletus Kasady (played by Woody Harrelson) has mastered the symbiote known as Carnage. The film premiered in 2021 and was not met with favorable reviews from critics. Viewers also felt disappointed, but they were positively surprised by the scene during the end credits. In it, Eddie found himself in the world of Spider-Man Tom Holland as a result of Doctor Strange’s spell from the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Film director Andy Serkis in an interview with GQ Magazine, he discussed the scene. He admitted that he wasn’t sure about the level of involvement of the MCU universe in the world of the second part Venom. Then he added:
There were sketches that had a bit more of the latter [świata]. Something unspoken. This has been very carefully selected.

Serkis’s comment coincides with an earlier statement from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. He said that there was coordination of the work of the teams behind it Venom 2: Carnage and a movie Spider-Man: No Way Hometo create this post-credits scene.
Recall that in the third part of the adventures of Spider-Man, all the villains who appeared on Earth-616 returned to their universes, including Eddie Brock. However, in the post-credits scene, we saw that a piece of the Venom symbiote remained on Earth-616. Thanks to this, there is a chance that Spider-Man and Venom will meet in the future.
