Velma gets terrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers mix it with mud and give a result below 10%

There are more and more negative opinions about Velma. At the time of the news, a new series from the franchise Scooby-Doo it fell below 10% and holds a single-digit score on Rotten Tomatoes. This can be the worst-rated production in the history of HBO Max.
Some portals, such as Screen Rant, suspect the title to be a victim review bombing, i.e. massive and deliberate underestimation. The aforementioned website stated that the reason could be the various casting, thanks to which famous characters from the Scooby-Doo universe are not only white and compared it to the situation with the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, where Amazon had to suspend reviews to determine which reviews were genuine. Screen Rant also indicates that sexism and the gender of the evaluators could play a big role here.
However, taking into account the posts on social media and reviews of popular creators, which we will show below, Velma really upset a lot of Scooby-Doo fans and gives many reasons for criticism.
Velma has a score below 10% on Rotten Tomatoes
Velma while publishing the news it has a score of 7% on Rotten Tomatoes. The rating is based on 3679 viewer reviews. Tomatometer, on the other hand, shows 55% based on 20 critic reviews, which is slightly more favorable but still classifies the series as bad.
We would also like to remind you that our reviewer, Adam Siennica, gave the production an unambiguous 1/10. He drew attention to what many Internet users: The problem is not the changed skin color of the charactersand the fact that their personalities have nothing to do with the franchise’s fan-favorite characters Scooby-Doo.
Every character is not so much bland as poorly written. The original Scooby Doo companions had quite clearly defined personalities – each brought something to the story and was something. Here, the creators at all costs add some bizarre background to the characters to make them human. Unfortunately, this makes them unbearable.
Velma: season 1, episode 1 and 2 – review
Velma gets terrible reviews from viewers
Velma on IMDb it has a score of 1.6/10. It was rated by 13,000 users. In the reviews you can read that this is the worst series in history, which is simply offensive and not funny. Most Internet users seem to agree that the characters do not resemble characters from the series at all Scooby-Doo and this interpretation actually offends the original. No one inspires sympathy, and the show, which was supposed to introduce more diversity, in fact just repeats racial stereotypes and is neither intelligent nor funny. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We leave you with some viewer feedback.
We went from Ultra Instinct Shaggy being practically canon to Norville literally willing to sell his organs so he can use the money to simp for Velma and blackmail her into dating him. Yeah, it's that bad. https://t.co/rINg7zk17U pic.twitter.com/lQUopxXPmI

So they race-swapped Daphne …and made her a drug dealer, Fred is worthless because he's rich and white, he and Velma (both MINORS) are hyper-sexualized and he and 'black' Shaggy are emasculated. #Velma is absolute trash🗑️! pic.twitter.com/Lw8skasG0D
