TOP 15: The most popular movies of 2022 in streaming. One MCU title on the list surprised fans

Nielsen has been in the business of reporting TV viewership for many years, but has only recently come to analyzing streaming performance. While platforms don’t always provide data outside of Netflix, this is the only reliable source of information about what was popular with the audience.
TOP 15 – MCU on the list
It may come as a surprise that the entire list of 15 titles displayed on streaming throughout 2022 is … only one movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Interestingly, it is neither Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness or Thor: love and thunderand controversial Eternalswhich has garnered quite a bit of mixed reviews and is considered the MCU’s worst-reviewed film.

Results are based on US viewership. Interestingly, the entire competition took place only between two services: Netflix and Disney+. This means that the popularity of productions from HBO Max, Prime Video and others was too low to enter the TOP 15. Who won the first place? It is hardly surprising that the TOP 3 are animations. Although there are a lot of new products on the list, there are also timeless hits headed by Moana and Ice land. The figures given are in billions of minutes viewed for a given title.
