Tom Hanks on AI and deepfakes: Anyone can now recreate themselves at any age

Tom Hanks in the conversation, he emphasized that artificial intelligence and deepfake can help in creating a film even when the actor dies.
“Anyone can now recreate themselves at any age using AI or deep fake technology. I might get hit by a bus tomorrow and that’s it, and the shows can go on and on.” said Hanks.
“Other than understanding AI and deepfake, nothing will tell you that I am me or not me. This will have some degree of realistic quality. It’s certainly an artistic challenge, but also a legal one.”
Hanks also added, “All associations, all agencies, all companies” are currently discussing “the legal ramifications of my face and voice and everything else that is our intellectual property.”
AI and deepfake in the movie – Indiana Jones and the artifact of destiny
In the film Indiana Jones and the Artifact of Destiny artificial intelligence was used to take photos of Harrison Ford from the films of his entire biography, and these images were used to create his rejuvenated face.
Both technologies used in the film will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival during the world premiere of this production.
