Deadline recently reported that he was nominated for an Oscar for his role in minari, Steven Yeun landed a key role in the Marvel Studios show titled Thunderbolts. The journalist stated that this role is important not only for this production, but also for the entire MCU. Yeun is primarily known for the series The Walking Deadand recently we were able to see him in a movie NO!.
Since the confirmation that Yeun would be joining the MCU, fans have speculated who the actor could play in the upcoming film, with many concluding it would be Sentry. There were already rumors that this character would be the antagonist of the aforementioned film, but there were no specifics. Now, Twitter insider CanWeGetToast has confirmed that Yeun is set to play the Sentry in the upcoming movie Thunderbolts. His information was often correct, but still it should be treated in terms of gossip and with appropriate detachment. As he rightly noted, however, he hopes that when the Sentry “fires” his powers, his hair will turn yellow, which will resemble the character Son Goku from the Dragon Ball anime.
Marvel – who is Sentry?
He is an exceptionally powerful superman whose powers seem to have no limit. He knew the identity of Spider-Man, acted before the Fantastic Four, was friends with the Hulk and collaborated with the X-Men. So why should he be an antagonist in the new MCU production?
The Sentry has a dark side called the Void and may even be considered a threat to all humanity. He is a monster who exploits his enemy’s greatest fears – he has murdered over a million people in Mahattan in the comics and driven the Hulk mad, to name but a few of his misdeeds.
