2nd season of the show The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is currently in production on a set in Berkshire, UK, where the crew relocated after finishing work in New Zealand. Now photos have hit the network that show a statue that is really important to the one created by JRR Tolkien characters; it is the elf Fëanor, former High King of Ñoldor, who also gained fame as an excellent blacksmith – it was he who forged the Silmarils, three jewels containing the light of the Two Trees of Valinor.
It is worth noting that the TV series Celebrimbor, who is responsible for the creation of the title rings, belongs to the Fëanor family; in the 1st season of Amazon’s production, he even used the hammer of his legendary ancestor, while the Silmarils themselves and the Two Trees of Valinor were mentioned in the introduction to the series.

It is not clear whether the depiction of Fëanor’s statue is just an Easter egg or – as some American pop culture portals speculate – we will see this character on the screen as part of a flashback. If the second option is true, the Tolkien Estate would have to approve such a turn of events. Recall that Amazon only owns the rights to the book Lord of the Rings with additions; any references to the First Age are made in consultation with the foundation responsible for Tolkien’s literary legacy with the novel The Silmarillion in the lead.
