The first photo of Sebastian comes from the official puzzles that will go on sale around the movie’s release Little Mermaid. Unfortunately, the fans are outraged and dissatisfied, because the new Sebastian is completely unlike his animated predecessor. The creators of Disney’s production follow the trail set by The Lion Kingthat is, they decided to portray Sebastian (and probably other characters) in a realistic way, so that’s why the character looks like a crab, and not like a nice prototype.

The Little Mermaid – what is the movie about?

The film tells the story of the titular mermaid Ariel, who wants to get to the surface in the human world to meet Prince Eric, whom the heroine rescued after a shipwreck. To this end, Ariel makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula. In exchange for his voice and tail, he gets human legs. However, it soon turns out that this deal has very unpleasant consequences.

The cast of the production includes Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, Awkwafina, Javier Bardem, Melissa McCarthy. The picture was directed by Rob Marshall. The screenplay is by Jane Goldman and David Magee.
