The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a giant hit. Sales results are surprising
Nintendo definitely has reasons to be happy. It has been reported that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sold over 10 million copies in just three days from its release, thus becoming the fastest-selling entry in the series in history. This is a great result, especially when you consider that this production is only available on one platform, Nintendo Switch. For comparison, the previous part of the cycle, Breath of the Wildhit the Switch and Wii U in March 2017 and sold almost 30 million units for 6 years on the market.
Tears of the Kingdom it also set two records in the United States (selling 4 million units in that market), becoming the fastest-selling game on the Switch and any Nintendo platform.
