The Last of Us from HBO faithfully transfers the characters and events known from the game to the series. The creators approached the source material with respect, and the changes and novelties they introduced are aimed at expanding the well-known story, not completely turning it upside down. And so, basically, the entire first episode was filled to the brim with references to the production of Naughty Dog, there were also some slightly more subtle winks at the fans.
