The Dark Tower: The series still without a studio. Problem director

The Dark Tower directed by Mike Flanagan is another approach to creativity Stephen King. Flanagan hopes that King’s work will see a worthwhile adaptation. Unfortunately, at the moment, the production remains without a label, as he told in an interview with Script Apart. The director finished with his collaborator Trevor Macy cooperation with Netflix at the end of 2022. The men then signed a contract with Amazon, which had already had one approach to it Dark Tower. Therefore, it is not certain whether the studio will take up the project. Flanagan admitted:

The Dark Tower has no studio. We don’t have a partner for it yet, so I’m developing it myself, which is a really great thing. And this is my dream project. I’ve wanted to do this for so long. If we can get off the ground, if we can actually get this going, I’m not ruling out Amazon’s involvement. Our relationship with them is brand new, so everything will be revealed. But yes, I work on the Dark Tower every day in one capacity or another.

The filmmaker acquired the rights to the story in December 2022. He admitted then that the script for the first episode was ready and predicted that its adaptation would last five seasons.
