Chris Pratt lends his voice to the title character. The voice cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Foreman Spike.

In the new production, Mario teams up with Princess Peach and several other allies to defeat the monstrous invader, Bowser, and rescue the kidnapped Luigi.
