Stargate – producer on plans for sequels. Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster and more

Dean Devlin was the producer of the film star Gate from 1994. At one time, it was said that there are plans to create cinematic sequels that would completely ignore the series’ sequels. In an interview with Yahoo, the creator revealed the idea they had for them.
Stargate 2 – what idea?
The second part was to ask questions about certain things on Earth that would be connected in the third movie. First, they wanted to invoke why the Mayan culture also has pyramids, and then combine the rest of the improbable stuff into something related to the whole mythology of the movies.
– In the third, we would tie everything together. We’d have a yeti and a Loch Ness monster. Then people would understand that there is a sense in how all this is interconnected.
Devlin mentions that sequels would be very expensive. Especially since Kurt Russell and James Spader expected a significant raise. MGM, the owners of the rights, decided that instead of cinematic sequels, they would create a series star Gate, which turned out to be a bigger success than the movie. It spawned 10 seasons and two spin-offs.
In 2015, a cinematic reboot was being prepared to start a new trilogy. The project was deleted after the movie Independence Day: Rebirth flops in theaters. In April 2023, it was announced that Amazon Studios was preparing new films and series related to the brand Stargate. Details have not yet been released,
