Shazam! 2 – Rachel Zegler auditioned for a superhero role in another DCEU movie. Who did she want to play?

Rachel Zegler In Shazam! The wrath of the gods plays the role of Anthea – one of the Daughters of Atlas. These are new characters that are not from the comics but were created specifically for the movie. Atlas’ other daughters are Hespera (Helen Mirren) and Kalypso (Lucy Liu).

In an interview with SlashFilm, the actress talked about the casting process for West Side Storywhich was terrible for her because it lasted a year. As many as 9 times she had to go to the interrogation, which was torture for her. She then admitted that she also auditioned for the role of Supergirl in the superhero production Flashwhich she finally received Sasha Calle.

Then casting director Rich Delia offered her a role in the second part of the film Shazam!. He invited her to audition via Zoom, because the casting was taking place during the pandemic, when isolation was mandatory. First, she played her scene in front of the director David F.
