Shadow and Bone 2 – [SPOILER] wins the hearts of fans. The new character is like Tony Stark in a fantasy world!

Netflix has published a new scene from season 2 Shadow and bone. It features the main character Alina in interesting company. Although this information was kept secret in the book for some time, the official Twitter account of the series openly wrote that he was talking to none other than Prince Ravka, or rather his alter ego. Nikolai Lantsov created the character of Sturmhond, the brave captain of a ship in which no one will recognize a member of the royal family. And as actor Patrick Gibson admits, he has something of Tony Stark, a Marvel star. See for yourself.

As you can see in the comments, Sturmhond – or rather Nikolai Lantsov – liked many fans.

Patrick Gibson told EW why his character reminds him of Marvel’s Tony Stark:

He’s almost a Tony Stark character, confident, almost conceited. I didn’t know if I could be such a social character for the entire series.

However, Patrick Gibson explained that over time he understood that the Sturmhond is actually an armor that Prince Ravka can hide in or be someone else. He liked that the character he played created his alter ego, because it’s a very meta element, something that attracts people to acting.

In order to achieve what he wants, Nikolai must split in two and be someone else as Sturmhond. Thanks to this, he is able to do what he would not have the courage – or permission – to do as Nikolai.

In season 2 Shadow and Bone Joining the cast were Anna Leong Brophy as Tamara Kir-Bataar, Patrick Gibson as Nikolai Lantsov, Jack Wolfe as Wylan Hendriks, and Lewis Tan as Tolya Yul-Bataar. They’re back in the lead roles Freddy Carter, Jessie Mei LiArchie Renaux, Amita Suman, Ben Barnes and Kit Young.
