Shadow and Bone – what do we know about the Six of Crows spin-off?
Eric Heisser concluded:
We put a lot of work into planning this. The hope is that we will be able to start working on this plan. Of course, it’s a question of what results Season 2 will achieve. If all goes well, Daegan and I will be responsible for both shows.
The showrunner also talked about the backstage of the entire project.
One of the reasons I was honored to work with Daegan Fryklind as co-showrunner on season 2 Shadow and Bone is the fact that I was busy in the writers’ room Six of Crows. We are ready to realize their own story. The eight-episode scripts are phenomenal and I’m proud of my team for what they did.
Eric Heisserer added that part of the spin-off would take place during the events of the season 2 finale Shadow and Bone. As can be seen from the above statements, the plan would be to drive simultaneously Six of Crows and the first series.
