Russian propaganda on the offensive. According to a fake weather map, Poland occupied part of Ukraine

Russian propaganda does not sleep and constantly spreads false information on the Internet and social media. This time, a graphic is being distributed that shows a frame from the alleged weather forecast from TVP1. It shows a map on which the borders of Poland have been extended to include the western part of Ukraine.
According to Stanisław Żaryn, the government plenipotentiary for the security of the Polish information space, these are deliberate actions of Russia, which wants to show Poland and Ukrainians in a bad light. They present Poland as an adventurous state, waging a proxy war with Russia on the territory of Ukraine, which wants to occupy part of this country. Żaryn said in an interview with PAP:
The Kremlin’s information activities are still focused on three vectors – making Ukraine and Ukrainians disgusting, showing support for Ukraine as an escalation factor, and scaring with the vision of Poland entering the war and its possible consequences.
According to the Factcheck.ge website, which deals with unmasking Russian propaganda, the 2020 weather forecast from Telewizja Trwam was used to prepare the graphic. It is worth noting how inept this map is, because the names of countries are missing Polish characters.

Żaryn emphasized that there is a change in the propaganda narrative. Talking about a “special military operation” is being abandoned in favor of a defensive war against Russia in the conflict with the West. In addition, the Russians returned to information activities based on instilling fear of their armed forces, also shaping the myth of the “Second Patriotic War”. This is to be a form of preparation for the next wave of military mobilization.
Stanisław Żaryn pointed out that Belarus also supports Russian propaganda, disseminating information about the aggressive militarization of Poland, developing the narrative about the alleged Polish threat to Belarus and Russia.
