Robert Downey Jr. could play a Marvel villain. Feige confirms

though Robert Downey Jr. became an MCU legend as Iron Man, he could have played another comic book character in an alternate timeline. It’s about the most famous opponent of the Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom.
Jon Favreaudirector Iron Manin the book The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe revealed that Marvel had previously met with the actor to discuss the role of Doctor Doom. While it is not stated in which movie, fans have speculated that it may have been the case Fantastic Four from 2005. Now we have further proof that this was the case.

Kevin Feige and Jon Favreau, in the 15th Anniversary Video Iron ManThey discussed the story behind the making of the film. The director once again said that he remembers how Marvel had already met with the actor to play the Doctor. Doom. Feige, president of Marvel Studios and the mastermind behind the MCU, nodded in confirmation of this version. This is the first time he has addressed this situation.
