Rami Malek as Buster Keaton. He will team up with Matt Reeves

As reported by Deadline, Warner Bros. Television is producing a limited series about Buster Keaton. Rami Malek will play the silent movie star. Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions, Malek and David Weddle are producing.
Buster Keaton – will be a biographical series
Matt Reeves, responsible for, for example, for Batmanwill also be the director of the series. Three-time Emmy winner Ted Cohen, is currently in talks to write and executive produce with Daniel Pipski and Rafi Crohn. Biography Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker’s Life by James Curtis is being tried on as source material for the series. Negotiations are underway to secure the rights to the book to the studio.
The project is being prepared for sale to streaming services and TV networks. 6th & Idaho have an overall agreement with Warner Bros. Reeves is also working on his HBO Max spin-off series Batman, The Penguin, in which Colin Farrell will reprise his role as the titular villain. However, this does not mean that the new series will also be on HBO Max.
Buster Keaton, known as “the man with the stone face”, is an actor and director who has appeared in films such as The Pleasures of Hospitality, Young Sherlock Holmes, A Sailor at the Bottom of the Sea if General. The last one, also directed and written by Keaton, is considered his masterpiece. Filmmakers such as Mel Brooks, Martin Scorsese and Orson Welles were inspired by Keaton, considering him ahead of his time.
