Quentin Tarantino will focus on writing, but does not rule out making a series or a short film

Quentin Tarantino in an interview with Deadline, he revealed more details about his next film The Movie Critic, but also confirmed once again that this will be his last film production. So what will Tarantino do when he’s done with cinema?
The director openly says that he is considering making a series or short films, and is even interested in creating theater plays. He’s open to a lot of things, but he’s probably going to focus the most on writing as a writer in the coming years. After the journalist pressed him to say more about his end with the cinema, the director replied:
It’s just that moment. It’s time to leave. I like the idea of reaching the top. I like the idea of doing your best for 30 years and then saying, “Okay, that’s enough.”
He added that this is also a good time because the value of the film has been decreasing recently due to the expansion of streaming, and he will always be faithful to the fact that films are intended for theatrical release. He admits that he has seen many movies on streaming himself, but announces that he will probably make his last film for Sony, because it is the last company faithful to the cinematic experience. He also points out that he has nothing against series and thinks about this form himself, but he does not experience the same emotions with the series that he experiences in the cinema.

Recall that Tarantino’s last book is Cinema Speculation. In 2022, he mentioned that he would shoot an 8-episode series in 2023. At the moment, we have not learned anything about this project, but Tarantino’s words make it clear that we will probably learn more soon.
