In April 2022, Ubisoft announced project Q, an online shooter in which players had to face each other in arenas. At that time, the game was in the early stages of development, and interested parties could sign up for the first tests. However, it seems that her fate will end there, because the French company has officially announced that the project has been scrapped and work on it will not be continued.
Information about the cancellation of the game was first provided by Insider-Gaming. Soon after, this was also confirmed by VGC, citing the words of a Ubisoft representative. He also gave the reason for the situation: the need to focus on other projects.
We can confirm that we are no longer producing Project Q to focus on priority projects where our teams will be relocated.
It is worth recalling that we recently learned (on the occasion of another postponement of the premiere Skull and Bones) that Ubisoft decided to cancel three games. At the moment it is not known whether project Q was one of them or is it another, fourth project that will not hit the market.
