Peter Pan and Wendy – this is how acting Smee looks like. It’s not like in the animation!

Disney has officially released a photo from the movie Peter Pan and Wendy which features the popular Smee. He plays that role in the show Jim Gaffigan and it looks like it won’t be like in the animation. The photo clearly suggests that Smee will be hard of hearing because he uses a tool called an ear trumpet to help him hear better. This type of version of Smee has not been available so far.

Peter Pan and Wendy is not a remake of animation

The creators openly say that they are inspired by the original story of JM Barry, but this does not prevent them from creating visual references to Disney animation on the screen. Jim Gaffigan in an interview with Cinemablend announces that his character and relationship with Captain Hook (Jude Law) will look completely different than in animation. It promises a lot of complexity in relationships and specific reasons behind it. He promises that in this aspect it’s something special that hasn’t been in previous films.

He plays the role of Peter Pan Alexander Molonyand Wendy will be played by Ever Anderson. Jude Law while he plays Captain Hook, a Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish) game Tinker Bell. The cast also includes Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Jim Gaffigan, Noah Matthews Matofsky, Sebastian Billingsley-Rodriguez, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Felix de Sousa, Molly Parker, Alan Tudyk, Diana Tsoy, Caelan Edie and Florence Bensberg.
