There is a chance that in the future we will see reboots of two once-known series: Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. The VGC website reports that Fumihiko Yasuda, president of Team Ninja, announced such plans during a panel held during the G-Star conference in Busan, South Korea. The announcement was accompanied by a slide showing graphics from both brands with a note that the future of the studio is reboots of popular productions.
VGC editors contacted representatives of Koei Tecmo Games on this matter, but did not receive a satisfactory answer. They were only told that they had nothing to announce at the moment. Interesting information was shared by Shpeshal_Nick, an industry insider and co-founder of the Xbox Era podcast. He heard it for refreshment Ninja Gaiden would suit the Japanese studio Platinum Games, the authors of, among others, warmly received NieR: Automata. At the moment, it’s just a rumor, but there’s no denying that it would be an interesting choice.
