New Planet of the Apes related to previous parts? The writer answers

Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa is a duo of screenwriters who work on the film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes together with Josh Friedman (Avatars 3, 4 and 5). They themselves are now celebrating a triumph with James Cameron as screenwriters breaking records of popularity Avatar 2but they are known primarily for films set in the universe Planet of the Apes: Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Evolution of the Planet of the Apes. In an interview with FilmSpeak, they revealed new details of the sequel.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes – new details
The duo admit that after finishing the last part of the trilogy, they felt there was more story to tell in this universe. They emphasize that this is not a reboot that will ignore the previous parts. Jaffa translates it like this:
“Caesar created something and left a legacy. So the question arises: what will happen to her next? How will his legacy unfold?
The screenwriter also confirms the connection with the original series Planet of the Apes from the old days. He admits that if the current series ever comes to an end, it will be the beginning of a movie Planet of the Apes from 1968.
– Do we want to quickly go to the end and at the same time the beginning of Planet of the Apes, do we want to tell an interesting story with these interesting characters? We had lots of ideas, so we sat down with Josh, Wes, Joe Hartwick Jr. – Wes’ production partner – and we started discussing them.
Jaffa and Silver emphasize that what they see in the daily materials from the set impresses them and emphasizes the excitement even more. They add that there are a few weeks left until the end of the film directed by Wes Ball.
