This is definitely a surprise in the financial results of the 2023 box office, as the production with a budget of $ 12 million in the premiere weekend alone collected a total of $ 41 million. He currently has $52.6 millionwhich is a satisfactory result. It should be mentioned that M3GAN still gets great reviews. All this translated into the decision on the next part. We knew about the probable continuation before the premiere, as informed by the director Gerard Johnstone and producer James Wan. The filmmaker admitted that there is talk of a sequel, but official decisions should wait until the opening weekend. Nevertheless, Wan revealed that if the horror gets satisfactory results, a sequel will definitely be made. And he himself knows in which direction he would like to develop production.

In all of my films, be it Presence, Pile, Incarnation or M3GAN, I like to think about the bigger picture. It’s about creating the world and also knowing who the characters are and where the story could potentially go. Then you have to build this bigger world and then go into it and say, “Okay, I’m telling this particular story, but I know other aspects that are going on.” So if everything works out and we have the ability to make a sequel, then we have an idea of ​​where we want to go.
