Ironheart – how does Black Panther 2 introduce to the series? Riri Williams will follow in the footsteps of Iron Man…
WARNING: THE TEXT CONTAINS SPOILERS!
In the movie Black Panther 2 Marvel’s new character Riri Williams has debuted. Many viewers wondered if introducing her at this stage was really necessary, since we will meet the heroine in her own solo series, entitled Ironheart. Impersonating her Dominique Thorne decided to explain why this decision and why fans had to meet Ironheart during the screening Wakanda in my heart.
Many reviewers criticized the fact that in Black Panther 2 there were so many plots and characters that they felt unnecessarily lengthened the length of the film. Riri Williams was also added to this already extensive story, which made some viewers feel that this decision made the film too crowded.
Why Ironheart debuted in Black Panther 2?
However, Dominique Thorne explained in an interview with Collider why she liked presenting Riri Williams to viewers in this way.
In my opinion, one of the most beautiful things about Riri is that both in the comics and on screen we get to know her between one ordinary day and the next. In a way, viewers have a chance to look at her everyday life in this way. Instead of typical original storywhich you would expect to hear that a new superhero will be introduced, we witness the day of a nineteen-year-old student who did something crazy in her spare time and now has to face the consequences.
She went on to tell us why we met her at that moment.
As we dive into her world as Ironheart, we also have a chance to get to know a little more about who Riri herself is when the stakes are not so high, and what adventures she can get into when she uses the same ambitions that in the first sequence found itself in such a situation. Up to a point Wakanda in my heart we wonder why now? Why are we meeting Riri Williams at this very moment? Well, it was at that moment that she realized the potential of her mind.
Who is Ironheart? Meet the successor to Iron Man
Below is Ironheart’s backstory from the comics:
Ironheart – how Black Panther 2 introduces to the series?
Riri Williams in the final Black Panther: Wakanda in my heart she returns to the college and Shuri reassures her that she is safe. Still, there’s little chance he won’t be targeted since he’s the only person in the world capable of inventing a vibranium detection machine.
But that’s not all. We find out at the end of the movie her vibranium suit was left in Wakanda, so in the series, the character will have to build a new one, much like Iron Man. Black Panther 2 it also provided her with a connection to two of the most powerful kingdoms in the MCU. It’s also key that Queen Ramonda gave her life to save Riri, which will likely inspire her to become a superhero.
It is also worth remembering that producer Nate Moore revealed in an interview with CinemaBlend that the series Ironheart will be a continuation of the film:
The series is a direct sequel to the film. Riri will take Wakanda’s experiences home and MIT with her. It turns out that there are some interesting consequences of her adventures, through which her life will take a new, adventurous course.
This is especially interesting in the context of the fact that in the Ironheart series he will face someone completely different than Namor or the agents of Director de Fontaine – he will face the magic in the form of Parker Robbins, aka The Hood.
