Indiana Jones 5 is saying goodbye to Harrison Ford, but not the franchise?

Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones is a legend and a cult figure. There doesn’t seem to be an Indiana Jones franchise without the title character. As it has been pointed out several times that Indiana Jones and the Artifact of Destiny this is the last part, it felt natural. now though Kathleen Kennedythe head of Lucasfilm announces that although Harrison Ford said goodbye to Indiana Jones, this does not necessarily mean the end of the franchise.
Indiana Jones as a series?
That’s what she said in a new interview about a possible continuation of the franchise.
This is Harrison’s last role. This is how we look at the Indy franchise. Honestly, if we were going to continue doing something, it could be a series, but we’re not going to do anything to replace the Indiana Jones character. This is the end. There are five films with Harrison. And he is unique in creating this role. Together with Steven [Spielbergiem] we agree that we will not do anything like that.
Earlier, a similar path was suggested by Disney boss Bob Iger. At the moment, it is not known whether any plans have been made and what such a production could be about. However, the consistency of not casting another actor for the role of Indiana is something fans should be pleased about.
