The document shows test photos for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It’s on them Pom Klementieff as Mantis. However, the actress looks different from the version that was finally shown to viewers.
The first significant change is that he has yellow skin. Interestingly, Andy Park, one of the directors of Marvel, revealed that they almost decided to go green, as she later had in the comics. However, they thought that then she would be a bit too similar to Gamora.
Ultimately, James Gunn decided to simplify its design. In a now-deleted Twitter post, he explained why he made that decision. He wrote that he liked her original look, so not the green-skinned one the character had until later in the comics.
