Guardians of the Galaxy: Christmas is getting closer – there are first opinions about the special Disney+ movie
Guardians of the Galaxy: It’s getting closer to Christmas will take the action between the events of the second and third movies about the MCU team of space heroes. The heroes travel to Earth to find an unforgettable Christmas present for Peter Quill. They decide… to kidnap Kevin Bacon and give him for Christmas.
Director James Gunn announced that the film would be “ridiculous” and it seems that critics are ready to agree with him. The first of them have already had the opportunity to see the special video and shared their impressions on Twitter.
We read that this is a film that goes straight to the heart and shows that Pom Klementieff and Dave Bautista are great at what they do. Steven Weintraub of Collider admits he smiled many times during the screening, while Anthony of Movie Podcast shared that James Gunn “celebrates family values” in his new film. There are also comments about the fact that Guardians of the Galaxy: Approaching the holidays do not give the impression of another MCU project that is supposed to clog the schedule. It’s a lot of fun, and it fits in perfectly with being a Christmas special. It is also difficult to find an opinion that does not praise Pom Klementieff and Dave Bautista – they are supposedly brilliant, complement each other perfectly and provide not only laughter, but also emotion. Andy Ortiz of The Wrap praised Kevin Bacon’s performance for this, adding that he was excited to see where the character would go from what was presented in the film.
Recently, there have also been rumors that the Silver Surfer will make his debut in the post-credits scene of the film. James Gunn on Twitter briefly wrote that this is not true.
