Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon – George RR Martin praises the creators for the way they show dragons and mentions one of the bloody scenes

During one of the events organized by HBO, George R. R. Martinand therefore the author of the literary original revealed that he was not entirely satisfied with the way dragons were presented in Game of Thrones. He admitted that they all look “kind of the same” to him, but he has a completely different impression of how dragons are presented in the series prequel. series showrunner, Ryan Condal later said that in the 2nd season we will see even five new dragons, so the author of the literary original should be satisfied.

Work on production will start soon. We can expect the premiere probably in the summer of 2024. In an interview with Variety, the creator said that his philosophy is a polished script. It’s a priority.

I don’t want to do it based on wanting to have new seasons as soon as possible. I want to do it based on scenarios that we’re excited about.

During the HBO event, Martin also mentioned one of the bloodiest scenes in television history, the childbirth scene at the beginning of the series. He jokes that it was not his doing, he only described the event in one sentence, while everything else was the work of Condal and his screenwriters. He also praised the show for a few “weird things” that popped up out of the blue, but found those moments fun. Unfortunately, he did not elaborate on specifics. Later, he also expressed regret that he could not appear on the set of the first season in person. He was busy writing his “next” novel. Maybe there will be an opportunity in the 2nd season?
