DCU – Ben Affleck to direct the movie? The actor gives a clear answer

Ben Affleck promotes his latest film titled Air. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the journalist asked him about rumors related to the potential directing of a project belonging to the DCU. The actor and director has no good news for fans hoping for his participation.
DCU without Ben Affleck
– He won’t direct anything for DC James Gunn. Absolutely not. I have nothing against James Gunn, he’s a nice guy and he’ll probably do a great job. I just don’t want to direct something like what they expect. I’m not interested in that.
Flash – farewell to Ben Affleck
The actor plays Batman for the last time in a movie Flash, which will premiere in June 2023. In the conversation, he admits that he is in the show for about 5 minutes, but for the first time, according to him, he managed to play the character well. It’s not like he doesn’t like anything he’s done while playing the character, though. He’s especially a fan of what they did in the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
He also commented on the disastrous experience of working on the film Justice League.
– Justice League… you could make a lecture about everything you shouldn’t do while making a movie. From purely production issues, through bad decisions to a terrible personal tragedy. It all left me with the greatest disgust I’ve ever felt.
He admits eventually Zack Snyder’s Justice Leaguewhich is this director’s final non-theatrical cut by Joss Whedon, is the highest rated film of his career on IMDb.
James Gunn did not comment on Ben Affleck’s words. However, it is possible that Affleck may change his mind in the future. Just like he did when he played Batman in The Flash.
