Creed 3 – Jonathan Majors about the movie. Friends competition like in Naruto?

Premiere Creed 3 is fast approaching. The latest spin-off Rocky will tell about the further fate of Adonis Creed, in whom he plays again Michael B. Jordan. After dominating the boxing world, the main character is successful in his professional and private life. Meanwhile, he is challenged by his childhood friend and former boxing golden child, Damian (Jonathan Majors). After serving a long-term prison sentence, Damian is eager to try his hand at the ring. The clash of old friends is more than just a duel. In order to settle past scores, Adonis must put his future on the line. And Damian has nothing to lose.

Creed 3 marks the directorial debut for Michael B. Jordan. The actor admitted that when filming the boxing fights, he drew inspiration from anime movies and series, of which he is a big fan. His favorite titles include: Hajime no Ippo, Megalo Box, naruto, My Hero Academia and dragon ball z. In the latest interview Jonathan Majorswho plays Damian, referred to this fascination with Japanese animations.

[Michael B. Jordan] he is a big anime fan. He’s always talking about the complexities of friendship mixed with rivalry and all that in these stories. He showed me one of his favorite fights between two friends where they get to the point where everything else seems to falter. In this idea, the battle is external and then internal, and perhaps the next battle is over what is more meta or spiritual.

The actor did not give any title, but it is easy to guess that it is probably about the anime naruto, where the power of friendship always prevailed.
