Captain America 4 – another famous comic book antagonist will appear in the movie?

The upcoming new Captain America movie is titled Captain America: New World Order, and the new hero bearing this name is Sam Wilson, previously known as Falcon. At the moment, very little is known about the film other than that the Leader will also return, played again by Tim Blake, and General Thunderbolt Ross, this time played by Harrison Ford replacing the late William Hurt. However, it seems that these will not be the only bad characters in this production.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, whose information is often correct, the production is currently casting for a female character named Diamondback, who is to be the antagonist in the film alongside the aforementioned Leader. We know from the casting description that we are looking for a woman around the age of 30 of any ethnicity, who is to be an antagonist, but also a possible “love interest” of the title character. There is also information about the possibility of further appearances of this character after the 2024 film.
Who is Diamondback?
There are speculations that Xosha Roquemore, who was recently announced for the project, will now be selected to play the role of Diamondback. In the comics, the character known as Rachel Leighton is a morally ambiguous character who is part of the Serpent Society team. CanWeGetToas additionally states that the character is likely to be a member of this organization in the film. It is possible, therefore, that the film would refer to the comics of this title by Rick Remender. In them, Sam Wilson as Captain America goes where immigrants crossing the border are stopped by members of the Sons of Serpent, a military organization operating illegally in these areas. Their commander is the Serpent Supreme, a specific persona hailed as a symbol of conservatism, because he has firm views on immigrants and is therefore discriminated against by left-wing circles. Later, Serpent Solutions, a new installment of the Serpent Society, turns out to be a big threat to Sam.
