Beverly Hills Cop 4 – Eddie Murphy reveals what convinced him to return to the series

Work on the film is in progress Beverly Hills Cop 4wherein Eddie Murphy will reprise his role as Axel Foley. However, it turns out that his return was by no means certain. In an interview with Collider, the actor admitted that over the years there were attempts to create a continuation of this popular series and he had several scripts in his hands, but none of them appealed to him. What finally convinced him to return to the role was his involvement in the project of Jerry Bruckheimer, who was responsible for the first two installments of the series.
Jerry Bruckheimer, original producer. Once he was engaged, he started working on the script and knew what Beverly Hills Cop should be. His involvement in the production was the moment when everything started to fall into place. We’ve been trying for years, I’ve read five or six different scripts and it’s never been that. The studio said, “Let’s do it,” and I said that’s not it. Jerry Bruckheimer is back, he knows his stuff, and he put it all back together.
Beverly Hills Cop 4 is being developed for Netflix, and the cast includes Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot, Kevin Bacon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylor Page, among others. The release date has not yet been revealed.
